Watergate Waves

This piece was first painted plein-air at Watergate Bay on the cliffs. 

It was a crisp March day and the winter swell was rolling in- on the horizon the sun shone bringing out the luscious turquoise tones of the sea. I finished this piece this summer in my studio and love how it brings the energy of the waves and Watergate surf!
